A listener opening the station. Someone at a dock scanning a donation lot. Those are different products, but both start with a concrete action on a phone rather than a feature list.
Tell me who uses the app, where they use it, and what they need to finish. That gives us a way to decide whether a dedicated app, a mobile website, or an existing tool is the right fit.
Two examples of mobile work
The radio listening app puts an existing live stream, show clock, and lock-screen listening within reach. A small station site supports the staff side of the same job.
The warehouse platform uses phone screens at the dock for scanning a lot and keeping holds or missing information visible. It is a staff tool connected to the work on the warehouse screen.
Decisions before development
The brief and conversation should establish:
- The people, devices, and essential actions the first version needs to support.
- Existing streams, data, or business systems the app needs to work with.
- Connectivity requirements and whether offline use is necessary.
- Distribution, platform accounts, and who owns them; these are part of scope, not assumptions.
- A build budget and a realistic care arrangement after the first version.

Questions before a build
Does every project need both iOS and Android?
No. We decide based on the people who will use it and the devices they actually have. Platform coverage and distribution are agreed before the build.
Is the $500 radio project a standard app price?
No. It is one small, specifically scoped project. A different app, additional platforms, or a more complex workflow needs its own estimate.
Can we work remotely?
Yes. Iowa is my first market, and remote app projects are welcome nationwide. You work directly with the developer who builds and cares for the app.
